DON JOY'S memorial service, March 14, 2014

This was the Triumph Club group at the March 14th Memorial Service for long-time member Don Joy.  Don was a member of the club since the 1980’s and took an active role in the club ever since.  A summer visit to “Don’s Ranch” in the mountains used to be an annual event.  We were used to seeing him in his GT-6 but his 32 Ford Vicki coupe hot-rod was the car he has owned since he was 15 years old and it was his signature car.  He had just sold it a couple of months ago and at age 79 he had owned it for 64+ years.  In talking with his daughter Mary she told us he had given the car to her and it was already back east; her husband is a “car guy” and will enjoy and take care of it and she said they were going to look for a Triumph club in their area. Don was the only “Honorary Member” of the RMTC; he will be missed by all who knew him.
